Nysa Sabharwal studies in the 12th grade at the Step By Step School in Noida. While she studies Mathematics, Psychology, Economics, Chemistry, English and Spanish as her academic subjects, her dedication and commitment to community service is evident through her involvement with the school Seva Club. In October 2022, Nysa also founded Needs and Deeds, a social welfare project that is in its current stage committed to improving the lives of abandoned and homeless cats and dogs. In school, Nysa is an active contributor to the enriching student community and was elected as the Class Representative in April 2023. In addition to founding Free Period!, She is also a member of the Sustainable Pad Development (S-PAD) organization that works towards facilitating improved access to menstrual hygiene resources.
Besides her passion for community service, Nysa is interested in exploring a career at the intersection of Business, Design, and Social Entrepreneurship. To this end, she is an active part of her school’s Economics club and is also currently in the process of launching an accessible unisex streetwear apparel brand, the Label N.
